Send a photo of the proposed location, approximate dimensions, your logo and target date. Include whether the sign is indoors or outdoors and whether you need lighting effects or changing content.
Custom LED lighting and colour effects
LED placement, colour and diffusion shape the finished appearance. DSS can integrate lighting into fabricated signs and 3D-printed letter bodies, with controls planned around the effect required.
Our COFFEE build used separate inner and outer LED paths to create its colour effect. The project combined carbon-fibre 3D-printed letter bodies, water sealing and a remote-controlled actuator that raises the sign and lowers it flat onto the roof. See the COFFEE build and workshop lighting video.
Planning digital signage for your business
A digital display brief should explain what will be shown, how often it changes and who will update it. Include the viewing distance, ambient light, available space and whether the display is inside or outside.
DSS can review the display concept and installation scope with you. Confirm the proposed hardware, content controls, power, connectivity and access requirements during quoting so the specification matches the site.

What affects the price?
Sign dimensions, letter depth, materials, lighting, controls, artwork preparation and installation access all affect the quote. A simple fixed sign and a build with programmed lighting or a moving mechanism require different scopes. Send your budget range so the options can be discussed early.
What is needed for outdoor installation?
Include site photos, mounting details, exposure to weather and the available power supply. Materials, sealing, fixings and access need to suit the proposed location. Tell us about any landlord or venue requirements and approvals already arranged so they can be considered in the brief.
