Custom Shop Fitouts and Display Builds in Melbourne
Custom retail fitouts and displays
DSS Custom Builds designs and produces custom shop fitouts, branded display elements and cutouts for Melbourne retail and commercial spaces.
Tell us how the space will be used, what products or messages need to stand out, and the dimensions available. We can plan the display build around your artwork, materials, lighting and installation brief.
DSS has built a custom timber retail product display and a branded surfboard retail display. These completed projects show different ways to present products and carry a brand through a physical build.
Retail displays built for your products
A retail fitout can bring shop branding, product displays, cutouts and graphics together so customers can find and understand what you offer.
DSS can combine fabricated display elements with printed graphics and lighting where the brief calls for them. The form and finish should suit the products, viewing distance and available floor space.
Share your floor plan, brand assets, product dimensions and target date so DSS can scope a display that fits the site. Let us know if the build needs to be moved or reused.
Technology Store Fitouts
Technology stores often need product areas, demo points and brand messages to sit together in a clear display.
Tell us which devices must be displayed, whether customers need hands-on access, and what power, lighting or security requirements affect the build.
DSS can discuss custom display components and cutouts around those requirements; the final design depends on your site and products.
Health and beauty retail fitouts
Health and beauty spaces use product displays, branded features and clear wayfinding to guide customers through the space.
The right finish and layout depend on the products, lighting and how visitors will move through the store.
Send DSS your floor plan, branding and reference images to start a quote for custom fitout or display elements.
Our Work
COMPLETED PROJECT · AFL GRAND FINAL
A custom activation, built and programmed in-house
DSS combined extensive 3D printing, custom displays, printed graphics and LED lighting for a Virgin Australia-branded activation at the AFL Grand Final.

From physical build to prize interaction
The build brought together flags, displays, light posts and printed ground inlays, with extensive 3D printing and LED work across the project.
DSS also coded the prize system in-house. Randomised prize allocation accommodated a limited number of jackpots and multiple smaller prizes. The programmed interaction formed part of the complete physical display.
From printed components and graphics to lighting and custom programming, DSS handled this work in-house.
