Window Signage & Decals in Melbourne
Custom window graphics for shops and workplaces
DSS Custom Builds provides custom window graphics and decals for Melbourne storefronts and workplaces. From business identification to promotional displays and opening-hours information, window signage helps customers understand what you offer before they step inside. Our Frankston team can discuss your design, materials and installation requirements.
Choose a clear message
Start with the information people need most: your business name, main service, current promotion or opening hours. Consider whether people will read the window from the footpath, across the street or at the entrance. Keep important wording short and allow enough contrast and space around the lettering.
Plan the window coverage
Think about how the graphics will sit alongside doors, frames and existing signs. Tell us which areas should remain clear and whether the design is for an ongoing business identity or a short-term promotion. Photographs from inside and outside help explain the setting. Material selection, fixing position and installation access should be discussed before production.
For a consistent result across your shopfront and other signs, read our business signage planning guide.
What to send for a window-signage quote
Include the site address, approximate width and height of each window, photographs, the wording you want displayed and your preferred completion date. If available, email your logo or artwork and brand colour references to dss@dss.net.au. Tell us about existing graphics, access restrictions and any design or installation help you need.
Not sure about the design or size?
Send the information you have and describe the result you want. Dimensions, artwork suitability, materials and scheduling can then be discussed before you approve the work. For enquiries, call 1300 309 735 or contact DSS about your window signage.
Our Work
Velocity 1 Point Rewards: Chapel Street window graphics
For a one-day Velocity 1 Point Rewards event on Chapel Street in South Yarra, DSS produced and installed vinyl graphics that transformed a previously vacant window frontage into a branded shopfront. The window graphics and surrounding vinyl work gave the short event a clear presence on the street.

Choosing window signage for your space
Lettering, decals or a larger graphic?
Opening hours and business names need a clear, readable layout. Promotional decals can highlight an offer, while a larger printed graphic uses more of the glass for your message. Tell us how much natural light and visibility you want to retain, and whether privacy is part of the brief. The material and coverage can then be assessed for the window.
Inside or outside the glass?
Provide photos from both sides and identify any tinting, existing film or coatings. The viewing direction, available access and condition of the glass affect the proposed application. Mention old graphics that need removal and whether the signage is temporary or intended for longer use.
What affects the quote?
Window size, number of panels, artwork preparation, material, coverage, removal work and installation access all affect the scope. Send each panel's approximate width and height, your logo, wording, site photos and target date. Final production dimensions and artwork should be confirmed before printing.
For a coordinated shopfront, explore 3D lettering and illuminated signage. If fitting is required, include sign installation in your brief.
